One of my issues in this campaign is education. I firmly believe we need to engage in a full discussion of where we want Idaho to be in the next 5 even 10 years. If our economy is still struggling can we afford to keep financing our current model? I think we need to look at our resources and our needs as well as our future. I don't pretend to have the answers to my concerns or questions. I do, however, think that we should begin the discussion in our state with our education leaders, businessmen, citizens, parents, and students as to how we are going to compete with China, India, and other countries. I would hope we can bring people together and find a solution to advance our children to meet the future of this State and this country.
